Quiz Bowl
Our quiz bowl teams are put together in early Spring and consist of one junior high team and one senior high team. Coach Sisco guides the students through practices, scrimmages and it culminates in Quiz Bowl Tournaments. We compete against public school teams and typically do very well. Watch for information to come out in early Spring.
Drama Club
The PCA Drama Club began in January of 2009. The first production was It’s Not Too Late, based on the Columbine shooting, and was performed by students in grades four through nine. With the success of that very first play, they have now performed 20 productions. Those plays have ranged from stories that address the struggles of Christians taken from real-life stories; fairy-tale stories and time travel stories with Christian messages; and classic stories modified to add a Christian element. Before the schools were closed this spring, the spring play was going to be a Christian version of The Lion King and had a cast of nearly 40 students from grades four through twelve.
Drumline
4 th grade and up can participate. For beginners or experienced students. We perform at school functions. Learn to be a part of a team and choose your instrument – bells, cymbals, xylophone and snare and bass drums. If you like to learn new things and have fun with a group of musicians, drumline is for you.
Signups are at the beginning of each school year.
Student Council
The purpose of the Student Council is to give students the opportunity to develop leadership by organizing and carrying out school activities and service projects. One representative from each of grades six through twelve is chosen by that class. As a group, they participate in various activities around the school. They help with the Veteran’s Breakfast and the Spaghetti Dinner by helping with set-up and serving. They organize and participate in the National Day of Prayer assembly. They sponsor the A-Honor Roll Lunches. They have also raised money for other special-interest projects over the years. Sometimes, they are called on to do other duties when student representatives are needed.
National Honor Society
Becoming a member of National Honor Society is a privilege. It must be earned through Scholarship, Service, Leadership and Character. Annually, PCA inducts new members into the National Honor Society. Students must meet all of the qualifications and be in the 10th grade or up.
Inductions are held in the spring of each year, after which we elect officers and plan our events for the following year.

The Praise and Worship Team
The Praise and Worship Team was formed to honor and glorify God and to develop a closer relationship with Him. The Team will lead services in chapel and any other special ceremonies such as Veteran’s Day, Harvest Celebration, Revival Week etc. A variety of music will be sung including southern gospel and contemporary. Students should be aware of the fact that a true commitment to God and the Worship Team is expected. There will be weekly practices which are a requirement to participate. Our Praise and Worship Team Key verse is :
My lips will shout for joy when I sing praise to You. Psalm 71:23
Science Bowl
Science Bowl is an international competition, and PCA participates at the local level at Shawnee State University.
Our team consists of students in Grades 9-12, and students must try out for the team and have qualifying grades.
Science Bowl typically takes place in the Spring.
