Science Bowl typically takes place in the Spring

Student-Run Credit Union

PCA partnered with Atomic Credit Union to open a student-run credit union during the 2014-2015 school year. This program consists of a full-service Atomic Credit Union branch inside the school. It is managed by students with the supervision of an Atomic employee.

Student employees perform duties of the various positions available at the credit union and learn other valuable skills such as interviewing techniques, team work, leadership skills, money counting, etc.

Some of the benefits of having a student-run account include: no minimum amount required to start your savings account, earn double
interest for youth accounts, no fees for youth accounts, and eligible to earn scholarships from Atomic Credit Union as a senior in high school.

Account applications are available and can be turned in at each student-run credit union branch. In addition, accounts can be opened at any Atomic Credit Union branch location or online under our “Open an Account” tab. Student under the age of 16 need a parent/guardian’s proof of identification and their Social Security number. If the student is already a member of Atomic Credit Union, it is not necessary to open another account.

Drama Club
The PCA Drama Club began in January of 2009. The first production was It’s Not Too Late, based on the Columbine shooting, and was performed by students in grades four through nine. With the success of that very first play, they have now performed 20 productions. Those plays have ranged from stories that address the struggles of Christians taken from real-life stories; fairy-tale stories and timetravel stories with Christian messages; and classic stories modified to add a Christian element. Before the schools were closed this spring, the spring play was going to be a Christian version of The Lion King and had a cast of nearly 40 students from grades four through twelve.
Educational School Trips
Every 4 to 6 years, PCA plans an educational trip for 6th–12th
graders. Past trips have been to destinations such as Washington DC, Gettysburg/Jamestown/Hershey, and Williamsburg VA.

The next trip is planned for the 20-21 school year to Washington DC.

For further information, please contact GAYLE KRAMER at the school.

Other trips – occasionally some of the lower grades may plan day trips to various destinations.
